I was disptached to the Festival Buffet one Saturday night about 10:30 PM. The complaint was that a patron in a Foxwoods owned wheel chair came in the exit side without paying and wheeled himself over to the food line. He took a plate and filled it with assorted food. A Hostess and the Manager tried to get the patron to pay for the food. He said that he spends a lot of money and he was not paying. He said to the Manager, get out of my way. He rolled out of the exit with the plate of food and disappeared. I asked the Manager if she noticed the number on the wheel chair? Yes, she said and gave it to me. Number 25, I think. I then called the coat room and they had the gentlemans name who signed for that wheel chair. The final step was a call to a Casino Host with the mans name. Where is the man playing now, I asked? She said, poker room and gave me the table number. I found the man who was very surprised that I located him. How did you find me, he asked? Im a retired Policeman. So what. Who cares. I am not going to pay for the food complaining that he spends a lot of money at the Casino. So does a lot of people sir, but everyone pays for their food. So, if I dont pay, what are you going to do to me? Evict you sir. He followed me to the Buffet and paid the $6.95 plus tax. Not happy but he paid.
