I was doing a little bit of digging though the archives this morning looking for a salad to share with you because salads are what you share in the beginning of January. And then I found my favorite winter salad which then led me to read my post that accompanied said salad. I needed to read those words today. Yes, even my own words. To remind myself of what I wrote nearly a year ago today; It’s amazing how quickly a little bump in the day can be smoothed out when I’m able to focus on something simple and good. This year I started a gratitude/happy jar. The idea being that at the end of each day Id write one thing from that day that made me smile. Two pieces of paper sit in that jar. I keep forgetting to add to it. But Ill do that now and hope that it becomes a habit. So heres a salad and a few thoughts on a new year (even though that year was last year) and a reminder to seek out the good rather than be overcome by the shoulds and the other things that can mute the happy in our days. notwithoutsalt/salad-cara-cara-oranges-avocado-feta/
