I was given the #10, so here are 10 things you may or may not know about me. Click like to get your number. 1. I have lived in one state my entire life, and have attended pre-school through college in Florida, though I always felt like I belonged in San Francisco since I was a little kid. 2. I always knew I wanted to be an artist, and told my parents this when I was 5. This was naturally discouraged, as my mother told me the only famous artists are dead ones and Im asking for a life of poverty. Im currently fulfilling the latter part of her prophecy, albeit happily. 3. I am a rare native Floridian who is at least 7 generations from Florida on my grandfathers mothers side of the family. Nearly everyone in the cemetery hes buried in is related to us. 4. Im a bit of a ancestry hound and have been on for the last 8 years. I have traced one particular branch of my family back to the 700s and I hail from famous Vikings and Kings of England. There is a town in France where statues of my ancestral fathers guard the town square. 5. I am an only child and my two cousins are also only children. Since my female cousins passing in 2008 from battling a lifetime of Cystic Fibrosis, I only have one cousin left. I only get to see him about once a year, but we are very close. 6. I used to be a model between the ages of 3-6. Instead of money, the gig paid me in dresses. The store was on Miracle Mile (Coral Gables) and was naturally the frilliest, girliest things youve ever laid your eyes on... Basically they were wedding dresses for babies. I would flaunt these gorgeous numbers to school daily. 7. I had my first gallery show at age 14. 8. I have only been out of the country twice, once to the Carribean for work and once to Mexico when I was 17. I long to visit Europe more than anything in the world. 9. Ive swam with dolphins (on purpose) and swam with sharks (accidentally). I am afraid of the ocean, though, and refused to take a bath for a week after seeing JAWS when I was about 3 or 4. 10. My first job in high school was as an ice cream girl on the beach. I wore a bikini to work every day.
