I was having a white noise problem from my speakers for 3 months and because of that I used my headphones 7/24. I tried everything. Checking my sound card, trying new speakers, installing new software aaand all of them did nothing. I was going to throw my sound card to junk but then I realized one of its Line-In sockets left online without anything plugged in. That was the source of the white noise. I deactivated that socket and everything went back to normal. I was going to destroy my sound card because 100% properly working Line-In socket doing its job. I feel like the most idiotic life form.
