I was hoping after Toris car accident that I would never have to - TopicsExpress

I was hoping after Toris car accident that I would never have to go through that again with one of my kids. My wish didnt come true. Katy was in an accident around 5 pm on the 1st. She was going east bound almost to the Halltown exit, lost control on black ice, went to the center median, hit the cable, which made her go end over end and land on the top of another vehicle going west bound. GOD was with her and the boys from the other vehicle. She had to be cut out of car, and taken to hospital, but it could have been so much worse. Parents should never have to experience a phone call to say their child was in an accident and being taken to the hospital, but I would rather have that call then opening the door to police officers. Even as bad as she hurts she has been keeping her spirits up. She has a fractured right rib, a bruised right lung, a black swollen right eye, fractured right eye socket, 4 staples on top of her left side head, 5-6 staples on back of her right side head, 1-2 stiches on her right leg and I dont know how many on the huge gaping gash she had on her left calf that went through muscle all way to bone. She still has to wear the neck collar as they watch a small tear in neck that is slowly leaking spinal fluid to see if it is doing better. She still has a long recovery to go as she will be having lots of physical therapy and doctor appointments to be going to once she is out of hospital. I thank GOD that Scott and I have taught our kids to wear their seat belts whether they like them or not as this is what saved both my girls from being thrown from the vehicle and why Im able to still see and hug them today along with GODs protection over them while it happened. As this Mama cries typing this I thank GOD for his sacrifice for each and every one of us and for protecting my kids so I have many more years with them! HE truly is a miracle worker and we are all so blessed to accept him into our lives! To all parents, drop what you are doing and give your kids hugs and kisses and tell them how much you love them, then pray and thank GOD that he blessed you and continues to bless you!
