I was involved in an interesting conversation this morning about Christians today speaking in tongues. I find the entire concept of tongues fascinating, and, awkward, mainly because I was not raised in a church body who used tongues as a tool to teach Gods word.....rather the respect of tongues was kept only for what was written about it in the Bible at that time. Also because speaking tongues is not found in all church denominations, only in certain ones. I completely understand what speaking tongues is, and accept what is written in the Bible about it. But, its just something I cant seem to accept in todays time. What are your thoughts about it, past the fact that some people have the gift and others dont. How does it make you feel to witness it? Does it fill you with a sense of urgency? Is it overwhelming? Does it feel fake and weird? Is it enlightening or confusing?
