I was just informed via LinkedIn that today marks my 5th Anniversary as Executive Director of GeorgiaCarry.Org. I cannot begin to tell you all the things that have happened to me during those five years. (Im pretty sure I still had some hair when I started this journey!) I have answered enumerable phone calls, emails, text messages, interviews (local, national and international radio, newspaper, magazines and TV), trips to the Capitol to work with the General Assembly on gun bills and written more newspaper articles than anyone from Bells, Texas (Cant prove this point about Bells, but it is my strong belief that it is true). I have also published too many GCO Updates to count as well during that five years. During all those interviews with the exception of gun free zones at CNN, HLN and GPB I was accompanied by my trusty old and often photographed Kimber 1911 on my side. And, dont forget that article in Playboy Magazine! I have been blamed for legislation that GeorgiaCarry.Org was able to get passed as well as legislation that we did not get passed. I have also been given much more credit than I deserve on things we have accomplished so they all even out in the end. I have been threatened for my activities as well, yet I continue on and will continue to do so until my body fails me. I owe a gratitude of thanks to many people who have supported me over this time. First, to my lovely wife Donna Kay Mindlin Henry for putting up with all the distractions that have been brought into our lives and my family who seems to always support me no matter what. I also owe thanks to the GCO Board Of Directors for believing that I could move our organization forward. And of course, the many members of GCO who have always and continue to support my efforts. It has been an indescribable ride over the last 5 years that I would not trade for anything. For those who not support me I got some bad news. I plan on being around for a long long time.
