I was just thinking... Hope this never happens to you. What I am about to share is the absolute truth, with my right hand sticking straight up in the air! My wife and I were eating with two of our (at the time) best friends, at Stephanos Italian Restaurant that used to be on Court street in Florence. I was sitting across from our female friend, (who is very attractive, I might add,) and my wife was sitting across from our male friend, (who wasnt much to look at, I might add.) We were eating our salad before the meal and our friend dropped a piece of lettuce on her dress. Well, being the gentleman I am, I decided to reach across and get it off. The restaurant had wine bottles with candles that had been burning in them for years. When I reached over, my arm hit the candle and knocked it over. Our female friend had long, flowing, beautiful hair,(who is very attractive, I might add.) The candle fell toward her and when it hit the table, the flames caught her hair on fire! FYI: Burning hair does not smell good. We finally got it put out, but I dont think her husband was too happy with me! He said; Next time my wife gets something on her dress, let me get it off! Funny, that has been about 15 yrs. ago and we havent been out with them since! I am beginning to think they are afraid of me!
