I was listening to Brilla sports fm this and the presenter ,Eseogheneb Edafe was commenting on our football club coaches. Hear him our coaches need to raise their games and learn to answers questions from reports intelligently. He painted a scenario like this Reporter - your team just won todays game. What do you attribute this victory to? Coach--We praise The Lord. In fact we have put our enemies to shame. Reporter --- as you team goes in the field for todays game , what should we expect? Coach -- I no be God. I cant say what will happen His summation is that our coaches need to display intelligence and technical ability in responding to questions. Someone called on the programme and commented thus- our coaches need to learn to dress appropriately during games and press conferences. A situation where a coach dresses like a fisherman or musician must be discouraged. Some coaches wear agbada, some dress like Igbo chief ! I believe strongly that our coaches must let their listeners know that they have a good knowledge of the game and also they have game plans rather than what we currently have. You watch a game and are tempted to conclude that the team would have been better off with out a coach or manager
