Published on Sep 2, 2014 The Pickles Reef shipwreck, sunk off the Florida Keys, is unidentified but might have been a vessel associated with the construction of the Overseas Railroad. One of the distinguishing features of the site is a number of barrel forms - the remains of wooden barrels that held cement. Over time the barrels deteriorated, but the cement inside hardened in the water and retained the shape of the containers. This video features a 3D photogrammetric model of some of these forms.
