I was lucky, so lucky A reminder that we have Angels watching over us. On October 7th at 4:30:pm I was pulling over on Fifth Avenue to stop. A car was cutting across three lanes making a wrong turn. He never saw me: I saw him. I watched him smash into me. I then flew into the air; 18-ft according to the witness who thought I had died as I came to land. Luckily I came too lying on the ground. A kind passerby helped me; Dan Dailey worked at the hospitals close by. I talked with him as I lay waiting... The surgeons told him, It is touch & go. The head surgeon told me Good timing, if you had waited two hours for help (and had not been near help), you would be dead. Even after five days the therapists thought I might not be able to walk, and not use my right arm. But the Angels where there for me... Unlike the hundreds of thousands of East Africans I had healthcare. I will walk another day. Thanks so much to my new friends on the ward, and to those dear friends (who somehow found out) and were who were close by - I will never forget you~ I was released today
