I was nominated by Jake Smith to do the ALS ice bucket challenge. As our lord and savior John Oliver said, I know what youre thinking: John, how is a hashtag going to rescue those geckos? The hashtag is to raise awareness, you idiots! Be positive! ALS Association explains, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. While this is not a hashtag to rescue a fleet of space geckos, the point of spreading this challenge is to raise awareness for a deadly disease. I nominate Esther Jay-Chatham, Ashley Nguyen, and Ben Connelly to also dump a freezing bucket of water onto their heads within the next 24 hours. The challenge is typically either complete it or donate $100 to the ALS Foundation, however, I urge you to do whatever you feel will contribute to the cause.
