I was nominated by Jane Hagen Freeman to post 3 paintings a day for 5 days. Thank you Jane. I am honoured to be chosen by you :D A lot of my friends are at a real advantage here because they have years and years worth of paintings to draw from. My watercolours only go back to 2009 but here goes…. ... so for day one I just have to begin today with three of my Teds for two reasons. The first is because of the person I am nominating today Birgit OConnor . She was the person who first gave my Ted’s national recognition by nominating me for the Watercolor Artist magazine One to Watch in 2012 and choosing my first painting ‘Comfort-Ted’ for Best in show in the BWS exhibition the same year. I am amazed how so many other people have connected to the series in some way too. I have even had teddy bears sent to me as gifts to be featured in paintings so this is why I have selected paintings 2 and 3 today. Ruth Elliott from England made Knit-Ted especially for the painting Knit-Ted and Knot-Ted and Christelle Grey sent me a beautiful Ted who features in several of my paintings including one of my favourites Caffeinate-Ted.
