I was recently reminded about a board game I used to adore as a child. FIREBALL ISLAND. It came out in the mid 80s and was pretty much the best board game ever made for like a decade (and forever). Somehow I feel this even influenced the creation of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted series, heck, maybe even Lost. It was incredibly well thought out and utterly adventurous at a time when board games were more bored than games. Fireballs, Smolder Pits, Caves, Collapsible Bridges, Jewels, and freaking Vul-Kar man. Not to mention the rad box art. Even better when I was drifting off into insanity and playing on my own Id use the massive game board to play with my Micro Machines. It was beautiful man. Beautiful I tell you. https://youtube/watch?v=0ujgywX-z9c
