I was saved many years ago (I was a sophomore in HS), but I had not been baptized. I tend to be VERY nervous when it comes to my faith- especially when all eyes are on ME! For the past few years I felt as though God was calling me to be baptized, but I kept dismissing it. I just felt like, there should be a great moment, something that I would not be able to dismiss. This past week I entered into a conversation with Chris Allen about my faith, my beliefs, & where I stand in my salvation. During the conversation he spoke one sentence that just seemed to put everything in line for me. He said, believing in Gods Grace isnt always a moment in time for everyone. That sometime fully believing in Gods Grace is a journey. I had spent all this time waiting for my moment never stopping to think that my moment had actually been made of many moments over the course of my life. Understanding that I am a sinner & can only be saved through my faith in Jesus, isnt something that happens in an instance for everyone; this seemed to finally make sense to me. I am an excited man today because not only do I realize that God has been working on me for some time, today I know that I took the steps to fully let him get to work. So, I pray that although the water may be dried on my body, that my soul remains drenched with the love God has for me. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
