I was so excited when I retired last year. I would have time to get birthday cards sent in time, cook every night, washing and ironing would be up to date, Christmas sent. cards with a nice letter or note. Well guess whats; birthday cards are still late, I still have a pile or ironing, I just purchased a bigger basket so it looks like less, laundry is never less than 4 piles, I dont get to church every Sunday and for the second year in a row I have not sent out Christmas cards. I am a lost cause. However I have pursued new hobbies, had more time to help people in need, taken up photography, oil painting and have rekindled old friendships and strengthen existing friendships with friends and family. Christianity is a big part of my life and I have leaned to understand forgiveness and people with mental health problems. I golf, listen more intently without blasting out my opinion (that does take hard work) and every year I become less and less judgmental about peoples religion and political views. I realize that life is more fun laughing and with joy rather than being grumpy or bitter. I enjoy this trait which I was lucky enough to be born with and raised with. So in conclusion of not sending Xmas cards out again this year........ Merry Christmas and many blessings to all my family and friends. I love you and off of you have a piece of my heart and always will Debbie
