I was stationed on a military base in okinawa japan from 1999-2000. I got pregnant, no prenatal care for the first 7 months. Constantly harassed. At 8 months into my pregnancy I was relocated to Camp Pendleton where I gave birth to my son. He is disabled with cerebral palsy and MR. When I noticed developmental delays the docs on base told me boys develop slower than girls. I left the Corps in 2002 and my son was diagnosed by a civilian specialist in 2003. I wanted to file suit but was told I couldnt due to being part of the government. While I was pregnant with my son overseas I was given the whole series of anthrax vaccination. I also had several threatened miscarriages due to the harassment I was receiving. I wish someone could help me seek justice however the statue of limitation expired two years after he was diagnosed. My son will turn 14 yrs old next month. I wish there was a way we could turn the statue of limitations around. But I cant do this alone, I need to hear from fellow veterans whove experienced this too. Maybe we can come together and do something about this.
