I was talking with a colleague today and he began bashing someones style of music.. and I stopped him, and reminded him we are all working for the same cause, and if not, leave the gospel arena and go secular. If not, learn to respect what everyone brings to the table. My style of music is my style. Thats what God has given me and although someone told me somebody recently that my style of music was boring, thats alright too. Music is digested on different levels.. some might not be at that level to appreciate what God has given me. Some can only handle the one liners that many sing, and Im not taking anything away from them either. Do you, until God takes you to the next level where you will appreciate another level of music in the sacred realm, to even appreciate REAL Negro spirituals, and other sheet music.
