I was talking with my wife, Destiney, about #mikebrown #ferguson and what we cant wrap our minds around is how can a human being be devalued to the point that a lethal weapon is used on him while he is positioned in a place of submission. How could one who is supposed to protect and serve drive away leaving a lifeless body face down in the street without calling the ambulance. Such heinous acts by this officer are very similar to slave masters mutilation of Blacks. Its disheartening to think that anyone could feel that way about anyone else, what makes it worst is when a system is in place that defines Blacks in this way. The media, social media, blog post and discussion should be around the history of a system of oppression and the actions of Darren Wilson. Further we should be analyzing the incontrovertible evidence that the St Louis military I mean police force is a manifestation of institutional racism. There is too much to investigate, examine and discuss about this that we shouldnt have time to deal with all of this foolishness ie Black on Black crime, how good of a cop he was, cops making tough decisions, the supposed violence of the people of Ferguson and what ever distractions that are coming up.
