I was talking with someone on a topic of Higher power and the concept of its application in AA . I came to a some what profound realization during this discussion . I am personally not an Atheist , yet I do believe in an entity that is superior which dwells , possibly within another dimension or somewhere within The Universe . I always believed such an entity was just a massive energy with unimaginable ability . I have actually seen a program on TV years ago , after I already decided what I believed . There was a young man whom suffered a very severe accident & he elaborated on his near death experience . He stated when he was in this other realm , in death , he was confronted by a massive energy which spoke to him & offered him the opportunity to live , or join this realm . He was horribly disabled from his accident and crying hysterically while talking about his experience . I suppose most of us whom believe in a higher being share somewhat similar beliefs & often contradictory beliefs . The fact is there is only one truth & what we believe will not alter this fact . But anyway what I wanted to say about AA and their suggestion to seek out a higher power is , Your higher power has always been with you , the madness we have experienced corrupted our connection with this being & thwarted us upon a dark path . It is not a discovery of a higher power , yet a re-acquaintance . Learn to accept all that has been experienced in life . Learn and grow . I have experienced horrible things and I say it is possible, because I have done it and continue to grow stronger and wiser . I wish you well upon your journey ...
