I was the Rebel? Seriously?! Im pretty sure I was no James Dean in HS (LOL). I felt more like a Misfit in the high school social class back then. Didnt feel I fit into any one social group quite right, not even the outcasts, but may have had qualities of each one. I followed my own beliefs, walked a different path, and sometimes harassed for joining the swim team (wearing speedos didnt helped), being the smallest discus thrower in the district while trying to pole vault, choosing cheer-leading over football (in Football country) while listening to Hip-Hop, Grunge and Industrial music. Oh,... and then there was the time I covered my text books with xeroxed copies of the The Crow comic book for bookcovers and got called into the school counselor for a risk assessment (LOL!). Though in those days I did tend to get hated-on for no reason by some, I did and still have few good friends. Great nostalgic moment. OK, maybe theres small truth in that Rebel stereotype.
