I was thinking about the Ray Rice situation and I thought of something. First, I want to say, I, in NO way, support, forgive, accept or defend what he did. I believe he is getting what he deserves. The situation made me think though. His life is being devastated by (I assume) the biggest mistake he ever made. His employer and the industry he worked in, have banned him because of the biggest mistake he made in his personal life. Now, the question is, what if you were judged by your most egregious error? What if the rest of your life and your ability to make a living was based on your most heinous act? I am not asking you to tell me what it was. I dont want to know and you shouldnt want to tell me. I think a lot of us are glad our skeleton closet doesnt have security cameras. Again, I am not defending Rice. This has nothing to do with him. If you find yourself poised over the keyboard, ready to say But Mark, Ray Rice..., I want to start slapping yourself in the face. Ill tell you when to stop. Its just a question to make people think.
