I was thinking tonight about Robin Williams, who died today of an apparent suicide. Money, fame, wealth - they just leave a person empty and unfulfilled. I was a pro-cheerleader for the NASL Tulsa Roughnecks, and drove a Delorean (Back to the Future) as a company car working as a receptionist for the teams owner. From the worlds perspective, I had it all.......but I know what the emptiness Robin Williams had inside him feels like. People look at you and think your life is great, but youre crying on the inside and only want to escape the emptiness, the loneliness, the pain, and the misery. The body doesnt work as well as it used to as you get into your fifties and sixties. Everything hurts, medicines cause us not to feel well.......our priorities change. I hope Robin Williams had accepted Jesus Christ at some point in his life. Its possible......:) Maybe we will see him again. I hope so......:) Sometimes people get so sad they feel like they cant go on......but when they feel that - they are under attack by the spirit of suicide. Its a creature that stalks us, takes over the minds of those who are vulnerable, and assassinates them by their own hand. Just because a believer ends that way, it doesnt mean they are lost!!!!! The blood of the King is what saves us, and NO CREATURE can snatch us out of His hand.....:) Suicide is a creature. You cant consider killing yourself unless it is stalking you. If you cater to it, it will take over your mind like a hypnotist. If you reject it - then it moves on. For some, death becomes a comforting thought....retreating into nothingness - just losing consciousness and never waking up. UNfortunately, thats not how it works. We are going to live forever because God breathed life into our Great Grandfather Adam. We have to live it somewhere - so theres no option of fading into nothingness. Maybe Robin Williams is in heaven....:) I would like to think so. Even the best this world has to offer is nothing......and never can satisfy. We think that if we acquire THINGS that we will feel better about ourselves....distract ourselves from the ridiculousness of our existence by this worlds standards, but TRUE HAPPINESS is always going to be elusive until we seek it in the King of Kings.....:) I actually found happiness when I found Him......:) Thats something nobody can take away from me. I wish comfort and peace upon Robin Williams family in Jesus Name.
