I was tired when I got home from work today…but, I’m on this walking schedule. The “No Quit” in me was desperately trying to overcome the “Just Sit Down” in me. The weather was BEAUTIFUL…but, “Just Sit Down” was thinking, “I don’t want to do this.” “Just Sit Down” also didn’t want to put Benny back in his crate after being in it for eight hours. So, “No Quit” and “Just Sit Down” compromised. Benny was allowed to play outside for an hour or so, and “No Quit” put him in his crate and promised to be back shortly… I hardly got past the mailbox when the rain started. The sun was still shining. So I kept going, figuring that it would blow over. And it did. (This is Texas…you just never know what weather you are really going to get.) So, I’m walking down the road, the rain stops, and I remembered that rain and sunshine can make rainbows. Right about the time I remembered that anomaly…a voice in my head said, “Turn around.” And, sure enough—I watched God create a MASSIVE, beautiful rainbow. I walked backward for a really LONG time. And, I’m not walking on pavement. (The dogs were looking at me like, “You are NOT walking right.”) “God wins. ‘No Quit’ wins.” Whoop!
