I was walking down 16th South thru Music Row today and as I passed - TopicsExpress

I was walking down 16th South thru Music Row today and as I passed all the recording studios and publishing houses, I was wondering how I’m gonna get the my new songs recorded. Then as I crossed one of the driveways I saw a wood screw lying in the center of the driveway on the ground. As I reached down to pick it up and throw it to the side to prevent a future flat tire, I dropped the screw. As I reached back down to pick it back up a voice spoke to me inside my head which said “dude, in the mean time just keep playing the old songs…play Fat Fingers Little Screws”. I just started laughing to myself…the voice was the spirit of my older brother Greg. The song Fat Fingers Little Screws was his favorite. He used to play it in his truck every morning when he drove his daughter Sarah to school. It’s the only song that I have that I play a guitar solo…so im proud of it because of the solo and that Greg and Sarah liked it. I wrote the lyrics to the song when I was taking anger management classes in 2005. It’s a song about trying to get a hold of my anger and is the title song of my second album. The song is written and sung as a metaphor to my behavior in those days before I read The Secret. It goes from calm to “not so calm” in a hurry…it helped me pass the class. If anyone on the planet knew of my struggles back then, it was Greg…which is why I think he liked it so much. At the end of the video there are a few pictures of him and his F15. My favorite is the one where he is flying in the center of 2 of his allies while he was training in Jordan.
