I watched the most satisfying movie I have seen in a long time. It is Prisoners. Since Oscars is coming up this month end, I wanted to watch at least a few of them before the Oscar awards presentation. I looked at the list of contenders and I watched Captain Philips in the best movie category and the next one I found on Netflix was Prisoners (nominated for Best Photography) When I started watching Prisoners I had no clue what the movie was about and that was the best thing to have happened. As I continued watching the movie I started feeling Yes. This is kind of movie I like. These guys have made just the kind of movie I would love to watch. The photography is excellent and is worthy of the Oscar nomination. I suggest you watch the movie without any expectations. Stop reading if you do not like to read about key plot details. . . . . . This is a dark brooding thriller. It is set in wintry woodsy Pennsylvania. Hue Jackman plays a carpenter whose daughter gets kidnapped. The story is told in a very gripping manner. Jake Gyllenhaal plays the detective who investigates. The others in cast are Melissa Leo, Terrance Howard and Maria Bello. The movie is very exciting and gripping because each and every twist and turn looks like what might happen in real life. The best part about the movie is the way the director narrates the story in a realistic manner while keeping it entertaining. imdb/title/tt1392214/
