I will ALWAYS be thankful to bands like Skillet, who although they are in a realm far outside of what I am comfortable listening to, have a heart for the youth. They are able to capture the pain, confusion, and struggles that young people (and us old folks too if we are honest) go through.....and give them hope. They take the deepest emotions and let kids know that THEY ARE NOT ALONE! We all struggle...I am thankful that Skillet reaches the heart of these young people that I can never reach...and incidentally, it wasnt until my son enlightened me many years ago to this truth, that I had any understanding as to how on earth a church could allow Skillet to minister on a Sunday night.(!)..When I actually LISTENED to the lyrics I was convicted and humbled...We serve an awesome God! He is NOT, thankfully, limited to the box I had previously put Him in...Praising Jesus for all of the professions of faith last night at the Harvest Crusade! Glory to God!!!! youtu.be/KmL-J1IghZM
