I will always be proud of Allen, Texas as I remember it, when we were growing up. I dont know Allen now, but I know we raised some serious hell on those streets in our day. And although people will continue to be mind blown when we tell them how many people we graduated with, it will never replace the fact that we had solid relationships with many of those people. I think our hearts are larger than most because we are all so close. As a friend put it to me today, we can go without seeing eachother for years and yet when we talk or see eachother now, its the same great, completely honest type of fun. We dont have to pretend, its real. It never hurts less when we lose one of our own. From TD, to Brittany Staples to Miguel Rojas, and unfortunately, many others, we will continue to gather together and prevail. Im thankful to be from a place that still stays close after all these years, because in reality, we are our own community that has grown unbelievably stable roots. Life is short, dont sip.
