I will be having my hip replacement revision surgery on October 6th. The increased toxicity from the failed implant in my bloodstream has now made this a matter of urgency. It has been a tough year. I knew it was coming, but truthfully I thought it would be after the first of the year. Although Ive been down this road before, I admit that Im not warm and fuzzy about it. I would appreciate your prayers and thoughts for myself and family throughout the next few months. In the short term, I find myself disappointed as Ive lost the ability to officiate the upcoming football season and will lose all of the hunting gun seasons. I am however extremely grateful for the six years that the initial surgery gave me my life back. As always I will place my trust in the Lord, for I know that He has bigger and better plans for me.
