I will never comprehend any one persons argument as to why the minimum wage should be raised. It make no sense. Heck, why go be an engineer or astronaut or a doctor or specialize my skills in a technical field when I can fold linens at bed bath and beyond and make a living? The US workforce doesnt need this crap, it needs the youth of the nation to strive for better. Stop trying to bring the American dream to a halt. This is ridiculous. The pay a minimum wage worker makes should be that incentive, the proverbial boot in the rear, to do better for themselves. If youre 30yrs old working a minimum wage job you should look in the mirror. We all have decisions to make....make yours wisely. When youre young you have the most priceless tool in your workbelt: TIME! think about the future before you go demanding a laborer welders pay for doing a smidget of that type of labor. Study history a bit as well. The bell boy doesnt stay a bell boy all his life if he wants to have more money.
