I will never fly American Airlines again in my life time. We have had two days of h#%#^#%. We are sitting in Dallas waiting for the next plane. Got to the states fine, but because of a mechanical issue the plane at our gate could not leave. We sat on the runway for an hour. Missed our connection after customs and re-checking our bag. So did about 200 other passengers. They put us in a hotel but it took an 90 minutes to wait for a shuttle to get there. Bed at midnight, up at 4am to get back to the airport and then the plane is half empty and they didnt seat us together? Go figure. Now we wait 3 hours for the next flight. They told us the wrong gate on the plane and the new one is a mile away...no joke. We are not seated by each other on that flight either.....ugh. I strongly dislike this airline. I realize its not employees, but they have not been very helpful. On a good note, Heidi and Katie are bringing home the best gifts ever...us. We have thought long all December and decided that we dont want to miss the lives of our grandkids for the next 7years...oh yea and our kids..lol. Robert is going to finish his PhD at BYU and has promised 3 years of school and no more. He has a chance to do some work at the lab in robotics which is something he has wanted to do since Ive known him. We can be with the kids and friends so sometime today we will be home.... Im not so sure about our luggage. Leaving was not a mistake, It was the best thing we have done for ourselves. Love to all hope to see you soon!
