I will never understand why any Veteran would vote for the current congressional professional politician, District One, Florida . Do not disagree with the right to do so; opine away. But the facts are that Jeff Millers actions with regard to his present position in the VA are akin to seeing a young child playing in the middle of the street, cement truck speeding toward the innocent and writing a letter to the police department to stop the inevitable. Where was his oversight ahead of the crisis? Simply watching the child be run over or yelling fire and not running to the child or picking up a hose, or a bucket and definitely not running into the burning building is inexcusable. Every one outside the high mountain (DC), down in the valley, us unwashed, bottom feeding barely voting citizens and the suffering veterans knew the VA was on fire. It was broke before Mr. Miller got there, it was broke during his tenure and it took catastrophe for him to do something that only looks like action. Multiple, numerous catastrophes. People of honor accept responsibility and either resign or act. And throwing money that we do not have and bolt on non-fixes at a broken process with same people doing things the same way is insane. The VA needs a 1000 psi enema. Anything short of that is silly. But the wealthy power brokers in District One will again support the status quo. They will help reelect an individual who serves only them, who is a member of the worst congress in our history...and do an injustice to the voters, the citizens who actually serve one another; acting ignorantly in their own self-interest. The same rich elite will also be the first to say those numbing words, thank you for your service while doing nothing to actually serve our difficult system or the Constitution of the United States. Sadly, maybe Brad Pitt was right when he stated finally in the movie, Killing them Softly, American is not a country, its a business, now pay me the money. There are choices. And the bad man is coming. God help us, we will reap what we sow.
