I will tell you a disturbing trend that I have encountered both within and without the Messianic world. People ask me how old I am. I say 33. They laugh and say something about me still being so young. If you do that, please stop. Its hard to take responses like that in a positive way. When people say things like this, their body language and tone of voice never tell me anything positive. Remember how old Yochanan and Yeshua were when God send them on their respective missions. They burned bright and fast and didnt even reach their mid-30s before they completed their missions. Remember that God told Jeremiah not to mention that he was a youth because he was willing to go where God sent him and say what God told him. Remember that Paul told Timothy to not allow people to look down on him because of his age, and furthermore told him to speak and teach with authority and let no one disregard him. Remember that God chooses the arents and not the ares. Why? So its obvious that its God and so he gets all the credit. God chose what the world looks down on and despises and thinks is nothing, in order to destroy what the world thinks is important. This means that no one can boast in Gods presence. (1 Corinthians 1:28-29)
