I wish people would realize just how happy Rachel and I are together. Neither of us treat the other wrong, neither of us make the other do anything they dont want to do. Neither of us want to get out of this relationship. We want to be together, we want to stay together. Why is that so hard to understand? What is so wrong about this relationship? Why is it not able to be accepted? And better yet, why is it anyone elses business? Me and her want to be in a relationship with each, not the entire town of Stover and lord knows where else these people are. She is my girlfriend. If she were the same age as me, or older, nobody would have anything to say about it aside for the fact that she is also a girl. But shes not the same age as me, shes younger. Big whoop. Did my parents, grandparents, and great grandparents all go through the same shit talking as we are? My parents are seven years apart, my grandparents eight years apart, and my great grandparents were five years apart. Rachel and I are four years apart. Why is it that since Im only 17, this is a damn problem? My great grandmother was 13 and my great grandfather was 18 when they were married and she got pregnant. My grandmother was 16 and my grandfather was 24 when they decided to get together and she got pregnant not long after. My dad was 17 and my mother 24 when they got together, and married a month after my dads 18th birthday. Am I going to get pregnant? NO. Is Rachel going to get pregnant? NO. Whats the issue?
