I wish rape would die. I wish it would just craw into a whole and die. In many, many instances even being accused of rape ruins your life. Your family and friends abandon you. And even if it is proved to be false, it is too late. And in many, many instances accusing someone of rape ruins your life. People are horribly harassed just for telling their story. What do we do? Make the victim prove that they were raped? Make the accused prove that they didnt commit rape? How can we imply that we dont believe the victim? how can we not believe the accused? Favoring either side can (and will) result in excruciating and undue trauma for many. There can be no winners in any of this. Its all just terrible.
