I wish that our government treated its citizens as good as the aliens that come here. Please know that I am in no way meaning anything derogatory towards anyone but the govt. My husband needs tests and to see a Neurologist so that we can get his seizures under control. He has had over 30 seizures this week alone and it isnt even over yet. Last night we spent over 4 hours in the ER to get his injuries from falling during a seizure and landing on furniture taken care of. He cant get medicaid because we do not have any small children in the house that are on medicaid, arent over 65, and havent been approved for disability or SSI. I was told at the DFACS office that the Dr. could fill out a form that would give him medicaid for one day to see the Neuro and have the EEG done, BUT that is ONLY for ALIENS!!! Why cant we as Americans get the same or better treatment than people who are here illegally? I breaks my heart to see him like this because he literally is unable to work and that does something to a mans ego. I wish I knew what to do to get him the help that he needs but we can barely rent and there is no way to pay the thousands of dollars it will take to get those things done for him. I know that is Gods will that we have to go through this in order to help someone else in the future be able to go through the same thing. I am not saying it is a punishment from God. I believe that every hardship is for a purpose to serve his greater good. I got injured on the job two and half years ago and am unable to work, but one good thing that I can see from this time of neglect of care by Liberty Mutual is that I was able to go back to College to obtain my teaching degree. It will not be long before I get that degree and am able to Teach. That day will be the blessing for all the suffering that I have had to endure!! I do not usually post about our lives or hardships but I am at my wits end trying to figure out how to get the help we so desperately need. It hurts my heart to see him go from a vibrant person to a shell of a man because he has no control of when he has a seizure and cannot do anything that used to do for work.
