I woke up early this morning with a heavy heart . Unfortunately life must go on. When we are in a crises in our on little world we tend to feel that the world should stop . But it doesnt it keeps going and we/you have to keep on going. You have to , juggle work, emotions, of everyday life. When I answered the call as a little girl of 8 years old to become a follower of Jesus Christ I had know idea of the amazing journey I was about to take, A life time journey, a journey for eternity . I didnt learn until my twenties that to love like Jesus requires risk. A risk to love like Jesus requires a tender heart ,to love like Jesus requires hurt. Not just hurt for yourself but hurt for your family, hurt for your friends. Each time I have been hurt my flesh says I will never be hurt again . You tend to want to wrap a shield around your heart so that you dont. The enemy will try his hardest to plant a seed of bitterness but you fight with all your being , because the root of bitterness will kill you. So in my bible study this morning I was lead to Psalm 51. David was betrayed by those he loved and trusted. I love what the devotion said he chose his brokenness and pain and took it to God, and to move on like nothing never happened. Instead of revenge he took it to God. In verse 17 will be my prayer : The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. After all that is my goal, to have a heart like Christ.
