I woke up this morning saddened and afraid. Afraid for us as a people, afraid for our children and afraid for this country. Where do we go from here? My post yesterday morning said that “when you take responsibility for the things that happen in your life, you are then empowered to change the circumstances”. We cannot just talk about issues we must be about them. We must take action by becoming involved, being socially, financially and politically engaged – vote, not just for President but for those that represent us locally and nationally, use our financial resources for things that will help us move forward and not just look good, invest in our own future by looking for strategic solutions rather than emotional ones. I have read many posts on FB and Twitter this morning but we must remember that our actions will speak louder than our words on social media. Investing in our future will never stop paying off. We must hold each other accountable. With that said, think about what steps you can personally take to help make changes.
