I wont be submitting to this. Editors who use the term honing in - TopicsExpress

I wont be submitting to this. Editors who use the term honing in in their requirements page arent ready to edit my work. For anybody who still doesnt get it: HOMING in means coming to a specific point, focusing on something particular, finding a target. Like a homing pigeon does, or a homing missile, for example. HONING is something you do with a blade. To hone is to whet, or to put a very fine edge on a sharp blade. You can also hone your skills, as you might if you chose to take a course in editing, for example. Unfortunately, the English language doesnt actually allow for honing in. Too bad. Nice payscale.
