I worked really hard on my final project. It was about modern technology and its effects on society as a whole, as mentioned in The Veldt by Ray Bradbury. I got a freaking 100. A 100. She NEVER gives 100s. She said my creative acronym was the best project shes ever seen. I summed it all up and named it Modern Technology: The I.D.E.A.L Enemy I- Illusion (that we control technology, when it really controls us) D- Disassociation (from society, family and friends) E-Effects on Children (learning disabilities, anger issues, violence) A-Addiction L-Legitimation (the idea that society has made technology a legitimate requirement) I know most of you are like WHATEVER, but Im super proud of it. If youve never read The Veldt by Ray Bradbury, I encourage you to do so. Bradbury warned us that technology would destroy our children and lead to the loss of society as a whole! Its a short story and you should ALL read it! I think they made a movie of it as well and also, The Smart House from Disney Channel is loosely based on it too! Ok, people, Im done now. Back to your regularly scheduled programming!
