I would just like to say, before any results come in, that I will be devastated if Scotland has voted yes. I feel that its too easy for people to focus on the negatives of the society in which they live; the grass is always greener. I personally feel that the UK is a superb place to live, compared to the alternatives. Were on the verge of potentially breaking up something which is good and proven and taking a plunge into the unknown on the basis of very few facts but a lot of emotional rhetoric. On top of which, as today has got closer, I have grown increasingly incensed that I have had no say I this decision. Its going to affect me and my family just as much as those North of the border. Should the vote be yes then I desperately hope that our own politicians close the door on any appeasement of the new Scottish government where currency, or any other factor, is involved. They cannot exclude us from this vote and then expect to have a say in future choices which could affect us to our detriment but their benefit. I dont know if I can go to bed this evening yet. I wish theyd count faster.
