I would like to give a huge Shout-Out to the employees of Superior Plow Blades. Thank you for the privilege (for ten years) of working with you; such talented craftsmen and human beings. When Steven died, you guys stuck with me, even when I didnt know pipe from tube or rod from round. I appreciate your willingness to work with me. You guys are rock stars in my book. Extremely skilled craftsmen in your fields, you make an American-made product and are the backbone of what makes this nation great. You are more than welders and machinists you cut and assemble and fit from raw sheets of steel, rod, shaft, flats, strip, round, tube, and carbide to make custom blades, bore bits, and pullback reamers. You are problem solvers and have made and supplied reamers that can cut openings 48 in diameter and larger to be used under highways, so that traffic doesnt have to be shut down. When no one else could get the job done you made a reamer that was strong enough to cut through submerged rail cars on the great lakes. You have met dead-lines and shipped products by air to get to emergency digs and have never complained. You work tirelessly behind the scenes making products that very few people even know exist, but use the results of every day. You make possible the underground transportation of clean water, gas, electricity, fiber optics, cable TV, irrigation, sewage and even invisible dog wire fences. You have supplied your expertise to products that have been shipped all over the United States, Canada, South America, Great Britain, Russia and Puerto Rico. You ARE what makes America great and so do thousands of other people in the manufacturing and industrial industries. If you see Travis Carlson, Tim Gadow, or Matthew Carlson, tell them that you appreciate what they do for this great country. I know that I do. Karen Carlson, owner and president of Superior Plow Blades, Inc. If you have unsung heros who work behind the scenes, give them a shout-out this month. After all, it is the month for Thanks Giving!
