I would like to know what you think about a couple of thoughts I have about education. First thought: Are we missing a common vision and clear direction to ensure our children get the education they deserve and their parents expect? Do we then need accountability, results and rewards baked into measuring the achievement of our vision and direction. Are these a stupid idea? Second thought: How about creating an annual statewide bonus pool allocated by school district to recognize and reward outstanding results and achievement of our teachers. Bonuses could be on both objective and subjective criteria. Bonuses would be one time. Given anytime throughout the school year. Bonus could be from $100 to $5,000. The bonus would not change your salary. How and who determines bonuses is for a different conversation. Feedback please…
