I would like to respond to my opponents or whomever is writing his posts on his facebook page and letter. 1) The writer stated that I ignored the facts and raised a response bar that is unreasonable. Not getting your regular household garbage picked up is unreasonable? Further stated that I am cynical and vaguely promising something better, read all of my posts and literature. TO MY OPPONENT SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE REVEALED that I would make the Sanitation District more transparent, create an emergency action plan which the management still has not done, AND WATCH TAX DOLLARS. 2) The writer mentioned that the audit might have been politically motivated or years old? What does it matter the fact is that discrepancies were found. I further question the statement that the audit was disproved. Where is that that evidence? 3) It was also written that they found and contracted with vendors. This was only after they were guided by the Town and County. The management did not know what to do or who to call. They did not even know that FEMA would reimburse them until they were told. This was only done after the rally on the eleventh day post Sandy. 4) The post also mentions that they would take different steps the next time. Again where is the plan? Also a web site was mentioned. The web site was only posted in the last few weeks only after the election was in full swing. There is no time posted as to when the board meets or who the five commissioners are. 5) Further mentioned was that I have never attended a board meeting, this is true. I could have never attend a board meeting because it was never publicized. I most recently found out that it is held on a Thursday morning. The School Board and Fire Commissioners conduct their meetings in the evenings. 6) It is also mentioned that I want change. Yes I want change which has very little to do with good service. It has to do with the managements failure to act or plan, it has to do with tax dollars, it has to do with why does the consultant run the show when there is a supervisor, it has to do with bullying businesses and residents alike and it has to do working conditions, plans and policies.
