I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Mitch McFarland and crew for letting me have off of a day of rehearsal so I could attend this and have an awesome time participating in this Historical European Martial Arts tournament at Redlands Fencing Center. This is how Knights of Old were taught how to fight and some of this info is trickling into our stage combat. I won 3 of my 5 general bouts and lost out in the first round of the single elimination finals to the guy who came in second place and said I was tough to beat. Ill take that! These are all the fights from the Cymbrogi School of Western Martial Arts where I go to train with Joshua Stout and Nathan Lee Ice. Look for us to share more of this type of training with you in fighter workshops and Summer seminars. We hope this will build interest in the historical aspects of swordsmanship within the AOA and look forward to seeing you come learn some old techniques that are a lot of fun. :D
