I would like to say how fantastic Dr Robin has been with Siadwell. He got in touch with three different specialists in the hopes that one of them could offer something to help Siadwell. Richard Saunders, I think the other was Mark Rowlands at Trinity and also an orthopedic specialist. But the opinions were all unanimous, there was nothing we could do. Over the past week I knew the abscess was continuing to grow despite antibiotics, but was hoping I was worrying over nothing, I wasnt. Siadwell was still eating but Robin said he was in great pain and it would only get worse and Sidwell didnt deserve that. I believe the problem with rabbits with chronic disability is that pain is already such a part of their lives they often dont display the same pain symptoms of a normal rabbit. Siadwell was still bright all things considered but we trust Robins opinion 100% and he said the best thing we could do for Siadwell was end his pain now. So Siadwell left us with a tummy full of food and his dignity. He was less than 18mths old, no age at all. We always knew his life would be short because of his disability but we are both finding it hard to come to terms with the fact it ended like this for such a beautiful bunny :(
