I would like to say that I send my deepest sympathy and regret to Nathan Cirillo and his family and friends. I respect our soldiers, I love our country ...and I detest our government. Im hearing a lot of dont blame Harper rhetoric. Obviously many of us feel that Harpers political stance and posturing is effecting our country very negatively. Prime minister Stephen Harper is busy getting us involved in every conflict he can find. And it all has long term consequences. Be it the Ukraine (where Canada is busy tailing Russian jets over their own borders and waterways), to Afghanistan where he escalated our involvement and helped get 150 Canadians killed to no visible accomplishment, to Libya where the west has managed to completely destabilize a country that now has over 900 private militias and NO law or order. He threw his whole hearted support behind joining the Iraq war (luckily he was not in power) where 100s of thousands of innocent people were murdered under false pretences and in the guise of finding one man. Now Isis. The USA and Britain created this situation and escalated the hate for the west by barbarically invading a country under false pretences and murdering 100s of thousands of innocent citizens. Taking out the evil dictators! The high moral road of the almighty dollar. If they want to engage in another & bigger round of Whack a Mole, why should we join them? Millions of muslim kids are growing up w/ western jets bombing their homes and killing their friends and family. Why would they not grow up full of hate? It costs $45,000 an hour to keep our 3 CF 18s in the air. Can you imagine what humanitarian relief and good will that could create amongst the million(?) displaced starving refugees in these conflicts? It just might not be time to whip out your CF 18s. It might be time to use your brains and review a little history and show some compassion instead of aggression. And as an aside... Joe Bidens son was recently kicked out of his honorary post in the US Navy for testing positive for cocaine use. Of course he wasnt REALLY in the navy. What is his real job? Vice president of the newest biggest Ukrainian oil company! And we want to get in there and sell them some Oil Sands black. Thats partially why our leader jumped in and supported an unelected government w/ ties to neo-nazism. You think these actions have no consequences? We havent seen the tip of the iceberg. We are inviting all this trouble into our country.... in my opinion. Yeah, this Quebec guy might be a Canadian whack job that didnt appreciate having 2 years of his Canada pension taken away so Harper can whip out his CF 18s, the announcement of which took place in another country. Come to think of it... I dont appreciate that much myself. I do not support waisting away an innocent Canadian soldier in training in any kind of misguided protest. Barbaric. But my point is we cannot blame all our domestic unrest on radical muslims. Education is no longer for the masses, corporations are bound to bear no responsibility for their employees, the middle class is shrinking, the lower growing, the upper class and 1% are growing their wealth exponentially. Social unrest. Look within. Beyond that... more music. Turn up the MUSIC!
