*** I would like to share this with my listeners. Not only try to get the right people to see this...., but to also share a little piece of me with my audience. Thank you all for listening.**** I had no clue that this video exsisted. And now knowing that me and my family are mentioned in it. I had no clue that my brother (Malcolm J. Yates) and I were headline news in the local news paper there. Even with all that press, No one.... Im talking students, teachers, or faculty treated us any different. For years attending Scotland I hated it. Only because I didnt understand it. But NOW!!! Almost 20 years later looking back over my life and the man, husband, and father that I have become. I honor this school, I love this school, and Im more than proud to call myself a Cadet!! I thank God for granting my mom (Rochelle Yates-Whittington) the strength to send her 2 boys 3hrs away to the middle of no where to be raised by strangers. Lord knows where we would be or have become if she didnt. But look at us now!! An accomplished DJ and a future Mayor of Marcus Hook Pa. I am so angry that a place I called home, that holds all of my precious moments of life as a teenager are gone. More especially that my kids will not be able to acquire the same level of education, leadership training and team work skills that we all received at Scotland. Especially those of us who still live in the city of Philadelphia. I pray that this post goes viral and places its self in the right hands, just to spark the thought of reopening Scotland School For Veterans Children. If it can save and change my life... Imagine how may other lives has been and can still be effected.
