I would like to share with you an insurance claim encounter while doing door knock. Just 30 minutes ago, I knocked at a door speaking to Mr Lee. He is now under claims for Basic Eldershield. His left leg was amputated. He is perfectly healthy. What happened? Mr Lee was previously a taxi driver. One of his day, while going for grocery shopping, he was pushing his marketing trolley as usual. His left leg accidentally knocked onto his trolley, leaving a wound. To him and a normal person, it is just a superificial wounds. A few days later, his ankle was swelling. He went to see a doctor. The doctor refer him to specialist. They actually look some of his flesh from his leg for test. Later did he know that he was contracted with a flesh-eating virus. He has to amputate his left leg. A simple incident can cause a livelihood of a person. Now, Mr Lee is on wheelchair now, not able to continue his job as a taxi driver. If someone had inform him of eldershield upgrade earlier and help him to do the upgrade, he would have benefited more from it. He is now receiving $300 a month. And this will only last him for 60 months. It is fortunate that he did not opt out of the basic eldershield scheme.
