I would like to state this because I feel that some people need to be able to differentiate this: Religious Freedom: Practicing and choosing whichever religion you want to follow. Religious Oppression: 1. Forcing others to change their beliefs to conform to yours. 2. Treating others as if they are less than you just because their beliefs are different. Jesus: Do onto others as you would want others to do onto you. I follow that everyday from when I get up to when I go to bed. I do it because by doing so, I try to be as good of a person as I can be. The thing is this: I honestly dont identify as a Christian, but in reality, because I do follow that rule and treat others like equal, makes me more Christian than so many people who are assholes and call themselves Christians. Moral of the story: Dont be a dick.
